Creating partnerships that prevent crime and improve the quality of life The Safer Luton Partnership (formerly known as the Luton Crime Reduction Programme) is an independent branch of the national charity Crime Concern. We have been in existence in Luton since 1989, and have a multi-agency steering committee which includes representatives from Luton Borough Council, Bedfordshire Police (Luton Division), Bedfordshire Probation Service, Crime Concern and local businesses and community representatives. The Partnership has international recognition and works on a number of projects with specific target groups towards the ongoing goal of developing safer neighbourhoods, improving the quality of life and reducing the level of crime for those who live, work or visit Luton.
