A victim and witness champion has been appointed in Luton to support local people
in tackling anti-
Rajab Ali, who works for the Safer Luton Partnership, is one of 85 people to be appointed to the role, after the Home Secretary announced £2.8million to establish victims and Witness Champions in October 2009.
This appointment is part of the Justice Seen Justice Done campaign which is a cross-
Mr Ali said he was honoured to accept the position and looking forward to working to help people in Luton feel safer.
I am honoured and excited to be offered a chance to work on such a dynamic project. I am confident that this project will bring about a positive change to the lives of victims and witness of anti social behaviour here in Luton.
The overall aim of these new posts is to deliver practical help to those taking a stand against antisocial behaviour.
